The IS-FTS-B P2020 Flare Testing System is a fully automated solution specifically designed for flare evaluation of camera modules. During image capture, internal scattering and reflection within the module may cause stray light to reach the sensor, resulting in reduced contrast, decreased color saturation, or even partial or overall blurring of the image. Flare testing, therefore, plays a critical role in assessing camera imaging performance.
This system features a fully enclosed dark chamber integrated with an auto-rotating parallel light source that simulates direct sunlight from different incidence angles. Camera modules can capture images under horizontal, vertical, and tilted orientations, ensuring comprehensive testing coverage. Together with dedicated analysis software, the captured results are processed using advanced algorithms to quantify flare levels and provide objective evaluations in compliance with the P2020 standard.
